MEET THE FOUNDER

Lynsey wiley provost

Principal and founder Lynsey Wiley Provost has spent over twenty years in the art business.  Lynsey attended the University of Texas at Austin, studying Journalism and  Art History.  She started her career in 1999 after earning a post-graduate degree from Sotheby’s Institute of Art. After gaining experience with auction houses and galleries in New York, she started her New York-based art advisory business in 2005. Through Lynsey’s extensive relationships and expertise within the art world, Wiley Fine Art has exclusive opportunities to assist clients in acquiring highly sought-after works and building collections with long-standing value.

Lynsey enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys and now lives in Dallas, where she grew up. She works between Dallas and New York and has built numerous collections across the U.S. Lynsey is a part of the Director’s Council at the Modern, Ft. Worth, and is involved in The Dallas Museum of Art, The Nasher Sculpture Center, sits on the advisory council for the Fine Arts College at the University of Texas at Austin and is a member of the New Art Dealers Association (NADA).

Our Offerings

  • We provide our clients with current market analysis and education to help them make informed collecting decisions. We strive to keep our clients constantly informed on all aspects of the market, from contemporary artists to secondary market works from private collections and auctions. We are passionate about art and look forward to partnering with every client to help them navigate the vast art world.

  • Wiley Fine Art Advisory curates each collection according to the client’s taste and collecting goals and then manages all aspects of collecting, including cataloging and database management, shipping, rotation, framing, conservation, lighting, installation, and storage.

  • An important aspect of collecting includes gifting and loaning artwork. Wiley Fine Art Advisory handles all museum loans and gifts, including appraisals.

  • Wiley Fine Art Advisory will liaise between insurance companies and lawyers to help access and provide appraisals and all documents needed during estate planning.
